Grease Trap

A grease trap is the box or tank that holds fats, oils, and grease before they leave a kitchen line. Maintenance means pumping it out, scraping the walls, washing it, and checking the inlet and outlet. A full trap does not fix itself.

The posts here include a traps primer, a maintenance visit, an overloaded trap, probiotics, and a note on marketing a trap service. Probiotics and a cleaning robot do not replace the pump truck. They are extra topics, not a new way to skip the visit.

GREASE.ORG pumps and cleans traps. Read the articles for what a visit includes, and what an overloaded trap looks like, then schedule the service when the trap is due.
