White Grease

White grease is a light-colored lubricating grease. Hardware counters sell it for hinges, tracks, and light fittings. Many tubes are lithium greases that happen to look white. The color is not a rendering grade.

Choice white grease is a different product: a pork-fat commodity defined by hardness and fatty acids. The shared word white is the whole overlap. A price chart for choice white grease does not belong in this category, and a kitchen oil does not become white grease by being pale.

This page defines the lubricant so it stays off the food-fat lists. For the pork-fat grade, open Choice White Grease. For bearings and chassis, open Lithium Grease or Lubrication Grease. For fryer oil, open Used Cooking Oil.
