Feedstock

Feedstock

Biofuels feedstock is defined as any renewable, biological material that can be used directly as a fuel or converted to another form of fuel or energy product. One of the advantages of advanced biofuels is the diversity of feedstock alternatives. Advanced biofuels may be sourced from: agricultural waste or residue, waste oils, perennial grasses and other dedicated energy crops, algae, waste biomass, farmed woody biomass, post-recycled waste and many others. Many biofuel facilities also use yellow grease and brown grease as components of new biofuel recipes and blends.
